    Very Broad

Med School Confidential covers alot of territory. Starting with 'So You Wanna Be a Doctor' through to the completion of residency, this book tries to give a depiction of life as a physician from start to finish. It is a quick read with simple language that serves as a good primer for the student contemplating a career in medicine. It does not serve as a good work for those seeking admissions advice. For the novice this book could be a little intimidating because it covers so much ground. The journey from college to residency is covered in a mere 270 pages. The reader must consider that the road to a medical career takes years and is accomplished in a step-wise process.

    Wonderful

Received this book yesterday afternoon. Read the first 3 chapters of this book and I've got to say there is a world's worth of information in this book. The book is neatly written. The general style keeps you reading on and on. I've only put the book down just to write this review for it. It goes in detail about premed requirements. Attitudes and generally the wide varies of demographics of people who choose to go to med school. Includes information about what med schools look for in candidates and effective ways to study for the MCAT. Not only that but this book even goes over the occupational career paths in medicine and the benefits and disadvantages of each. There are many sections included in this book that covers the issue of financial aid and the loans that accumulate during medical school. It's a wonderful read and can't wait to apply much of the knowledgeable information included in this book. I recommend this book to anyone interested in medicine.
