The preface of this small paperback are among some of the most beautiful words I have ever read.

Read Gail¿s book. You¿ll love it, but you¿ll find yourself returning again and again to that brilliant and haunting preface.

    A beautiful little book....

In 'Meditations' Gail Evans has writen a beautiful little book. A master of descriptive language she paints word pictures of some of southern Africa's most popular sites; word pictures that come alive on the pages. She devotes a chapter to each site and follows it with a meditaion. Combining the two provides the reader with a unique spiritual experience. Thank you, Gail....

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! Gail has achieved a powerful and wonderful combination in each and every chapter between the major tourist sites in Southern Africa coupled with delightful and insightful meditations of the seven chakras at the end of each of the seven chapters. They are all unique and quite exquisite!

Meditations in My Favourite Places in Southern Africa: A Travelogue for Inner and Outer Journeys

'In this evolutionary book Gail Evans has presented the most powerful combination of Nature's captivating beauty with inner, spiritual awakening. The reader is absorbed by scenes of Southern Africa's grandeur, while at the same time a spontaneous internalization awakens the inner spirit lying dormant within us. Her meditation of the seven chakras is effortlessly stimulated by the presentation of Southern Africa's world renowned scenery. Gail Evans has achieved a unique and superb combination, renewing and rejuvenating the reader externally and internally. This book will help you to relax, enjoy and become one with Nature as well as your Inner-self. Highly recommended.'

Meditations in My Favourite Places in Southern Africa: A Travelogue for Inner and Outer Journeys

As I started reading Meditations in My Favourite Places in Southern Africa, I felt a tremor run through me as if Id stepped into an African Dreamtime. Her words weave the colors and smells of special places in Southern Africa in a way that is so profoundly spiritual and yet at the same time very grounded. Its a realistic guide to time out in some of the most beautiful places this continent has to offer where she gently shows us how to connect with both ourselves and nature at its best. By the time I reluctantly read the final chapter I felt that Id inwardly traveled to these places with the writer and all that remains now is to go out and experience them for myself. To sum it up, this is a unique and long overdue book on finding ourselves both physically and on a Soul level in this beautiful land. Vivid, colurful & magnificent!

Vivid and colourful images that capture the essence of Africa. The dust, heat and grassland plains. Forests and misty mountains. Endless beaches and sun drenched blue seas. Gail Evans has captured them all. And like the smell of meat and wood smoke to the hungry traveller, the readers senses are primed for the meditations that accompany each magnificent location.
