Laugh out loud fun
I don't think I know any Southern Belles, but after reading this book I feel like maybe I've met one. It's a delightfully crazy account of the dating game, related by a divorced mother of twins. And it's all the internet's fault. With tongue in cheek, the author paints the most outrageous pictures of potential partners that are all too plausibly real. A girl could indeed get discouraged. There's the deranged parrot, the "Daddy never loved me" maybe-homosexual, the one who just wants to marry someone. And through it all, romantic mother keeps up her outrageous banter, good humor just occasionally slipping to the wrong side of despair, until.

It's advertised as a "true story" and reads like it's got to be true. Plus it's hilarious, touching, and fun and I hope there's a sequel. -
Meeting Mr. Wrong is hilarious and a fantastic read
Read the book the evening it was delivered, I couldn't put it down. I was rolling laughing and gasping in disbelief throughout the book. The characters came to life as I was reading and I could almost see the events happening as I went from one dating disaster to the next. So glad for the wonderful ending of the book and am excited at the thoughts of a sequel. Stephanie's writing is so fluid and funny and I thoroughly enjoyed the book and have passed copies on to two of my friends already.

Absolutely Hilarious!
I just finished reading this wonderful first book from Stephanie Snowe and I cannot wait for more books from this very talented author. She is absolutely hilarious and very real in the way she writes. I found myself laughing so often as I read this book and associated with so many things she shared. If you are looking for a fun book to pass an afternoon with, don't look any further.

Highly Recommend To All Who Date Or Have Dated
A hilarious look at one woman's post-divorce dating life. I recognized some of these losers!

Hysterically funny!
I received this book as a gift and I have not stopped talking about it since. I read a lot and this is, by far, one of the funniest books I have read in several years. It's honest, it's painful, and yet it absolutely laugh out loud funny. The ending filled my eyes with tears and I cannot wait for this author's next book.

The content of the book is sometimes painful, sometimes touching, sometimes heartbreaking, and always hilarious. The author has "a way with words" that most of this genre just do not. Forget Chelsea Handler. Stephanie Snowe is hilarious without the lame jokes and the smut. -

A Laughtastic Read
I was first introduced to Ms. Snowe's hilarious writing through her blog (jasonfortheloveofgod.blogspot.com). When I found out she was writing a book, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. What a wonderful book this is. I laughed the whole time and was nodding my head in agreement with her stories. I may not have personally dated the same men she has written about, but I have dated men like some of them. Who hasn't come in contact with a "momma's boy?" I know I have! Ms. Snowe's ability to tell a story is what ultimately makes this book so great. I felt like she was sitting in my living room recounting these stories to me. I love the conversational tone of it. In short, this is a must read if you've ever been on a bad date. You are not alone. This Southern Belle can help you find the humor in the dating world.

hilarious!
You know when you are reading a book and it is sooooo good that you get annoyed when you have to stop reading to change a diaper/feed your children/go to the bathroom etc?

No?
Maybe that's just me.
ANYWAY that is totally how I felt today reading Meeting Mr. Wrong- The Romantic Misadventures of a Southern Belle. It is hilarious. I read it cover to cover grinning the whole time.
The author- Stephanie Snowe- is someone I am familiar with from reading her blog- Jason. For the Love of God. I'm not sure how I first came across her blog but it was ages ago and after reading one post I was hooked and have been reading daily ever since. She is, by far, one of the most enjoyably hilarious bloggers out there. And her book? Equally as enjoyable.
I could absolutely picture all the disastrous dates from Stephanie's descriptions. The story flowed well and was easy to read. It read like I imagine Stephanie would talk... like she was sitting across the room telling me the stories instead of me reading them on paper.
This really is the funniest book I have read in ages. I would HIGHLY recommend every single one of you go pick up a copy for yourself or your wife or girlfriend or sister or aunt... you WILL love it! -

Hilarious is an understatement
I was unable to put the book down. I laughed until I cried over and over. This is one of the funniest books I have ever read. Ms. Snowe could be the female version of Lewis Grizzard.
