Outstanding Christian book

I bought this book, not knowing anything about the authors, but being drawn by the cover and the title. 48 hours later, I am ordering the sequel, because I found between the pages inspiration, morality and good language. I am impressed with this book, so much so that I have written my first book review. I will pray for the authors that they continue to maintain their integrity in a world that usually rewards violence and vulgarity, where books of this calibre are not usually sought after.

    No ending

I cannot recommend this book. I wish someone would have written that there was no ending. I would not have started reading it. You are just left hanging. There was a note about the author's research: did she not complete it?

    Sweet, but historically inaccurate

I found it interesting that a History major liked this book - he or she might want to review population statistics about the French settlers of Acadia, who were actually mostly Catholic, in direct opposition to what is stated in this book. Why could the authors not have had their two heroines be of different religions, since that would have been much more accurate, and shown how love and God can transcend religious labels? A disappointment in my first Janette Oke read.
