John McKinnell is a top-notch Old Norse scholar, author of 'Both One and Many: Essays on Change and Variety in Late Norse Heathenism,' (1994). In this book, he reviews and critically analyzes many of the more obscure episodes from Old Norse mythology, often left unexamined by other scholars. I have found this book both enjoyable to read, and invaluable in my own research. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in reaching a deeper understanding of Germanic mythology. It is well-written, and accessible to scholar and layperson alike. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
