    Fun read

This is my first Vince Flynn book and I can honestly say I really enjoy his writing style. Memorial Day was a fun and fast read. Mitch Rapp is a little over the top, kind of like a Jack Bauer type, but still a great character. If you like the show 24, then you will like the Mitch Rapp series.

    Fast Non-Stop Action..

Great story just jumps right into the action. This is a real page turner. Mitch Rapp at his best. This is first in my book and consent to kill is second. Can't wait for Kill Shot.

    Wonderful Books

A few months ago, I bought 'Consent to Kill', which was my first read of Vince Flynn. This book was so great, I went a bought every book of Flynn's and am now reading them in sequence now. I have not been disappointed yet. The books are a fast read, as you can not put the book down. The characters of Rapp, Coleman, Kennedy and Hayes are so alive. I am just starting 'Memorial Day', which I know I will enjoy.

Mitch Rapp is the new Jack Bauer

For anyone who likes 24, this book (or any other by Vince Flynn), will remind you of the TV series 24. Once you start reading this book, it will be hard to set it down.

    A reviewer

This was a fun book to read, because it never suffered from boredom. The only thing missing is Mitch Rapp¿s blue tights with a red ¿S¿ and a cape. Very entertaining and believable to a degree. I had never read any of Vince Flynn before this one and I am hooked. My only complaint is Mitch Rapp¿s ¿Super hero¿ type character is almost unbelievable but easily overlooked thanks to how fun it was to read.

Move out of the way, Mr. Clancy!

What an amazing book! I picked this up as a beach-read and couldn't put it down. I have always enjoyed similar work, such as that of Tom Clancy, however, Flynn adds even more thrills, along with a deeper plot, while avoiding the endless technical jargon that plagues so many of Clancy's books. An absolute masterpiece!

    Watch Out Bad Guys

I thought the book was very high intense and extremly high octain. The three main characters in this book are CIA Counterterrorist Director Dr. Irene Kennedy, CIA Operative Mitch Rapp and the President Robert Hayes. I really enjoyed this book because of the action, and suspence in the book. The book keeped me guessing the whole way and I could never figure out what is going to happen next. I never could really start predicting the book. Because of all of the different twists. I really like the story line that Vince presented in the book. What I didn't like about the book was the continuse political struggle and the fact that the book might of been alittle long winded.

    Fighting back

Memorial day by Vince Flynn inspired the readers that even though you can¿t trust people around the world there are always an answer for the problems that a nation is facing. In this particular fiction book Rapp the main character helped the CTU (counter terrorist unit) to catch the terrorists and there bombs form accomplishing their mission. But without Kennedy help in this particular situation. Conflicts happened in the process of finding the bomb, because most people in the central intelligence didn¿t expect the bomb will pass the border and they hesitated to take action as soon as they heard the situation. There were major characters in this particular book one of them was Rapp, he was a character who had changed through times by helping out the U.S defense military by giving them the latest news he had discovered. The other important character was Irene, she was the most important character through out the story because she helped them to put things together and help for solution. There was Staley, she wasn¿t important character but following the instructions she helped them to find where the nerve gas were (bomb, nuke gas). What I suspected was that, I never thought they could get the bomb, knowing that were it was hidden. There was this particular quote in this book it was by Rapp back in the Middle East ¿say all you know about the plan or else I will torture and kill you.¿ This shows that even though Rapp had trouble getting the right information, he tortured the terrorist group that they held in the prison and they made them speak all they know about the situation and the plan they were trying to accomplish. The author in this book also used settings to show how the place and the setting matched. And prior to 9/11 attacks on U.S people were looking towards the Middle East that organized the group. So it matched the situations perfectly with the current situation that is happening right now. In the book memorial day, long story short, it was about these terrorist groups who were trying to attack the U.S by using the ship ports along the coasts of the united states. The bad thing about it is that if the CTU didn¿t get the nuke as soon as possible, the terrorists were planning to attack the people in Washington D.C by killing thousands of people. But finally it didn¿t work, with the work of the CTU and agents across the globe helped the situation to be handled in short amount of time. Without them and the agents in the middle east, another problem was going to happen in the U.S. and at this time things weren¿t good dealing with the 9/11 people didn¿t want to here other things. That was enough problems for them to face. And by this particular situation we would have been losing thousands of citizens. This is all thanks to the people who worked deliberately and as the theme to solve the problem.

    Terriffic book!

I don't think this novella ever had a break in momentum. From the first page on, it was riveting. What was disappointing though was my body wanted to pleading for some sleep, thus I had to put it down. I didn¿t want to put it down. In my view, Vince Flynn is the next Tom Clancy. For those who have not read any of Flynn's books, please do. You'll get hook. That¿s a promise.
