    Just OK

Marc Savin, an operative with an anti-terrorist organization called T-FLAC, retreated to his cabin in Montana following a bad op that resulted in the death of his lover. Two years later, his partner Alex Stone approaches him for help with a brewing hotspot and to deliver bad news about his former lover. Marc refuses and three weeks later Alex is reported dead. Seven months later, Victoria (Tory) Jones shows up at the cabin with claims of being Alex's twin sister. She also has telepathic abilities with a special twin connection to her brother and says he's alive. Tory convinces Marc to go retrieve Alec and he takes her with him to help locate her brother.

This is entertaining but light fare. The op was suspenseful and interesting (although predictable) but the romance developed awkwardly. It was mystifying why Marc failed to ask pertinent and critical questions of Tory prior to beginning the op, those that arose in my brain immediately. And, for all the emphasis on finding and retrieving Alex, there was zero focus on him at the end of the op.

With that said, I liked both characters but feel the dialogue between them was stilted and at some times immature. It didn't support the timeline of their romance or behaviors.

I understand later books in the series are far better so I plan to continue.

    Good read.

Cherry Adair is always an author of choice. I've enjoyed this and most of her other books. I just say that her new books are much better than her first ones. I'm sure you'll enjoy his book also.

The Mercenary is the book that started Cherry Adair¿s popular TF

The Mercenary is the book that started Cherry Adair’s popular TFLAC series. Victoria Jones refuses to believe that her brother is dead. She seeks out the help of Marc Savin, her brother’s former partner to help her find him. Soon they are on their way to Marezzo to save him and bring him home. The Mercenary has passion, danger and mystery. You can’t go wrong with this classic novel from Cherry Adair.

    FIRST OF MANY!!!

I fell in love with her special ops team and the characters from the start. I loved this book and her style of writing so much that I went out and searched for every thing she ever wrote and wasn't sorry even once! I was happy that I had a few years on the book because for months I was never without a Cherry Adair book, I became pretty spoiled! Doesn't matter where you start, you'll always come back for more!

    Sizzling

I have read all of Cherry Adair"s T flac novels. I loved this one. I do wish it was longer like her others. I hope she continues the series. I can't wait for the next book.
