In Message in a Bottle Nicholas Sparks has found a way to grasp your heart in this tragic, yet happy love story. If The Notebook was a sad story then this one will leave you crying for hours. With the love between Theresa and Garrett, the ending of the book seems to take a dramatic twist that you would have never seen coming from the first time that Theresa met Garrett. This was a book that I enjoyed to read and found out that once I picked up the book I couldn't put it down. The ending might have been tragic but the overall theme seems to remain clear. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has lost a love before, or even fallen in love. Sparks always finds that way to leaving you weeping at the end. This was once again, another wonderful book by Sparks. I love the tear-jerkers.

Good Book!

I really enjoyed reading this book right up until the end! I wanted a happy ending....why do all Nicholas Sparks books have to end sadly? I really enjoy his books, but sometimes I think the endings are a little much! It's ok to have a happy ending every now and then!...

"Curse you Nicholas Sparks!" That's what I yelled when

"Curse you Nicholas Sparks!" That's what I yelled when I realized what he was going to do to our hero. Another reviewer says, "Sparks always finds that way to leaving you weeping at the end." This folks, is the mark of a hack writer. Somehow, he's figured out that he doesn't need his story to make sense or his characters to remain consistent, all he has to do is make the reader cry. The fact that this book has 327 5 star ratings shows that most people have fallen for his ploy.

    the Gigli of romantic novels...

This book is the most pathetic, sappy, cliche, romantic novel i've ever read! The characters are fake, the plot is too far fetched, and you already know what's going to happen as soon as you're done with the first chapter. Anyone who enjoyed reading this sorry excuse of what a romantic novel should be has obviously never read a truly amazing book. The Notebook and Bend in the Road were fair but this book doesnt even deserve a single star!

    Cardboard Characters

This book was horrible. The characters were extremely 2-dimensional. Theresa was a witch and Garrett was a boring loser. He never left North Carolina in his entire life, yet he seemed to have almost no friends to speak of. They didn't really love each other; they were just pathetic and lonely.
