    Expands and deepens the understanding of human health and disease.

    The Metabolic Typing Diet by William Wolcott and Trish Fahey has, in the last four days, during which I have read this book, vastly increased my understanding of how important it is to eat the right proteins, fats and carbohydrates in the right proportions. During the last ten years I have learnt much about alternative medicine and my opinion is that it, in most respects, outshines western medicine tradition, on helping people to get well and stay well. But for some time I have felt that I needed to know more, that there was a missing link in my knowledge on alternative medicine. I have now found that missing link - the importance, for every person, of eating according to their individual metabolic type. The Metabolic Typing Diet book has many strengts: it presents a theory that considers our inherited differences on how we metabolise foods, minerals and vitamin/ it helps the reader to distinguish other causes for illness, than not eating according to individual metabolic type, for instance food allergies and blood type related food sensitivity/ it presents factors of illness beyond diet, such as electromagnetic polution, different kinds of poisons, like mercury from dental fillings, and psychological factors/ it is pedagogically written and well stuctured and therefore quite easy to understand and follow. It is a mystery to me, that this book has not been translated into swedish, my native language. H.D.

    It works!

    I purchased this book because it was recommended on Dr. Mecola's website. I was looking for a natural way to control my RA without drugs. I started the program in January by slowing removing foods that didn't fit into the protein diet. I lost 80 pounds and still counting without much effort. I am also in remission and no pain!!! I haven't felt this good since high school!
