Scarlett is young and naïve but surprisingly strong considering her sheltered life. Her best friend Evie has her back and they have big plans for their first semester on their own. Dylan, Ash, and Mason(Oh Mason)…. Are thrown into the mix and what once was uncomplicated soon becomes very much the exact opposite.

I enjoyed learning about Scarlett’s life in the first part of the book, but by the second half my heart was beating fast and I was reading slower and slower just so it wouldn’t be over yet. I ranted, I raved, I even cried at one point. But through it all I LOVED IT.

I thought it would be from the stellar reviews, but I was sadly mistaken. From the editors marks in red still all of the book where the author forgot punctuation, to the poorly developed characters. It was something I don't plan on buying the sequel to.

Dylan didn't need to be in the story at all, He was insignificant, the story should've just been about Mason and Ash. He didn't add nor take anything away. And the whole Evie thing was so UNREALISTIC and poorly written, I laughed. Her character wasn't developed enough to even have any feelings towards her. Not to mention Scarlett is just annoying going back and forth and back and forth she changes her mind over and over.

I'm 20 years old and in college 1 no one wears denim skirts, I don't know what the author was thinking and 2 what is with authors and pig tails, once again no one wears them in college. Maybe New England schools and being from NJ we have a different style, I dont know If I had to hear about the Eros and Psyche story one more time. Overall it was bad dont waste your money.

    Good for a $2 book

For $2, this book was pretty good. The writing was a little irritiating, the way that the author used dialogue to describe things instead of just straight prose. Most people don't speak that way.
The characters were funny and interesting, but I thought the ending was a bit abrupt, almost as if the author couldn't think of an ending or couldn't decide on one and just sort of rushed through it, and then after all of that it kind of leaves you hanging. I don't really like books where there isn't a solid sense of closure. It almost forces you or tricks you into buying the next book, whereas I think a good book should make you WANT to buy the next one to see how the story continues. Overall, a good beach read, if you're into some easy peasy mind candy and nothing too substantial.

So I'm a lil torn with this one. While I liked the concept of Scarlett & Evie crushing on book boyfriends and fantasizing about how they will capture their next hottie.. I was disappointed with the fact that this book was so similar to previous books I've read.

It was a compilation of Taking Chances, Thoughtless, Beautiful Disaster, and Ruining Me. Nothing really unique about this story. Unfortunately this book seemed to drag for me and I couldn't wait to finish it. The only few redeeming qualities were the ending, which was appropriate and the fetish that Evie & Scarlett had with their books.. The only thing I walked away with in reading this book is another book boyfriend to add to my list (YAYY MASON)) lol

    Eh

I felt like the author read some books that are great of the same genre and tried to write a book like them( while putting the title of said books in the story). I didnt get a connection to any characters and thought the story line was rushed at best. It was just ehh. Idk if i would read the sequal if one is written if more than $1.

    Plus and Minus here

My daughter loved the book, I on the other hand skipped over a lot of it. Did not like the writing style and I found it repetitive. Shows you it is for the younger generation.

Love Mason!  Can't stand Ash!  Thought at first it would be the other way around, but I was very surprised!  I'd like to know more of what happened to her after the unfortunate part.  Enjoyed reading this book and I can't wait to see what happens, as long as she doesn't end up with Ash!
