A review on the book Mick Harte Was Here by: Barbara Park

Mick Harte Was Here, is a very good book. We read it together inclass and I have read it outside of class. I liked this book because it was told from a narrator's point of view, which is Mick's sister Febe. It shows the character's emotion and feelings they experience through out the book. Mick Harte Was Here is a sad story but is a really good book. It starts out with Febe reflecting on the childhood and friendship she and Mick shared. Febe struggles through life after the accident. The thought of losing her brother and that he was really gone shocked her every time. She hated it, but pushed on. For a long time, Febe and her family spent countless days stuck in the house mourning. The power of Mick and Febe's friendship is what kept her going and is what motivated her to give a speech to her classmates about Mick. She relizes that Mick is gone from his body, but his soul and voice is with her everywhere, everyday. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone. I would rate this book four stars. If you like heartfelt stories, you'll love Mick Harte Was Here.

    A good Way to start

I am 15 and a total book worm because of this book I have read many books but this one showed me that not all of them are bad and this book gave me a good push in the right direction on what i like to read about. It was a good book and made me think about how i would feel about if my brother was Injured or even killed and i would so dread that. I liked this book and i Thank the author for the push in the direction I have found to be very comfortable in.
