This book is riddled with errors
I'm only up to page 50 and have found numerous errors in this book. Luckily my husband knows Excel fairly well and has been able to help me work through the errors. But unless have an 'in house' IT expert like me, DON'T BUY THIS BOOK. IT'S A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. I even checked the MS Press Web site for book corrections but found nothing. It would appear that not only did no one bother to proof-read this book, but no one bothered to proof the CD content eiter. Curtis Frye and Microsoft should be deeply ashamed and embarrased for foisting this piece of garbage on the public.

Seven errors in the first three chapters
The changes outlined in chapter one of the CD were not the same on the compaion CD, The merge and center function was already completed on the CD, The picture on page 35 was not in the folder stated in the book item 6 on page 37 refers to a page as the tabed page not by its name (size) very confusing typing the formula as stated on page 48 results in a name error Item 4 on page 49 states the formula is =sum(D5:D6) when it's actually =sum(orderitems), I'm returning this book to Barnes&Noble

Worst Tutorial
There are far too numerous errors in both the text and the accompanying CD to make the effort worthwhile. I found this to be nothing but a waste of time and money.

Wanted to freshen up my Excel skills
I bought this book besides all the poor reviews that I have read, and I can say that it was not as bad as it was made out to be. If you are new to Excel then I highly recommend not buying this book. However if you have the right excel version, which is very important, and are fairly comfortable with Excel then this book will help you with little tricks. Overall it was an average book, probably not worth the time if your expectations are high
