Good Starting Point
Take a quick dip into Microsoft Office 2003 with the well-organized lesson plans in Step by Step. The practice exercises were on-target. I was unable to access the Outlook practice exercises for some reason, but all other exercises worked perfectly. This manual teaches you the basics. If you are interested in reaching intermediate level, you will need another manual. I used the free online Microsoft training lessons in conjunction with MS Office Step by Step to fill in some blanks and to review the content in a different format. I bought the manual in order to learn how to set up a web site for my small business, Writing Workshops by E-mail. The site was published within one week. Later, I put the Access and PowerPoint lessons to use tracking customer information and enhancing my web site.
