The First and Second Book You Need!

Microsoft Visio has come along way since I played with it before Microsoft made it part of the office family. Visio now finds itself a required software for most universities offering IT courses, as well as an indispensable tool for the entry level and practicing software programmer and developer. I've attempted to learn the details of how to use the program from the Microsoft website, and peeked at the dummies books, but they did not contain the information I needed to really use the program, and take advantage of the features. After purchasing, working through the exercises in this book, and practicing some examples from the website, I've amazed myself at the lack of limitations of this software! This book has saved me countless hours fumbling through Word's drawing tools for university homework, let me make astonishing presentations for many of my IT courses at the university, and I am now using Visio for flow charting business processes and software diagrams. The examples are clear, explanation of the software vocabulary was much better than the other resources I tried, and the tips and tricks shown in the book are time savers. I recommend this book to fellow students, anyone in the IT field, and business managers needing a sound informational resource to help learn to leverage the value of Visio.
