This is the book for learning VBScript
I have tried on several times to learn vbscript, but the books were all confusing, and seemed to focus more on web than on things I needed as a network administrator. This book however, takes a different approach. The author seems to realize that network administrators do not have time for a lot of things not related to actually doing their job. This is what I wanted. Additionally, the book starts out with real scripts, not 'code snips' like you find in other books. This is a very important item to me, as it helps me see where in the script every thing goes. The book covers all of the major tasks that I needed to automate. Rather than learning VBScript from scratch, the book helps you write scripts the way network administrators actually work, ie. we are starting with code, and modifying it. This is not 'cheating' ... it is an intelligent approach. I really enjoyed the section when the book tied WMI, ADSI and VBscript together. This was exactly what I needed. Buy this book, you will be glad you did.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
