I have to confess that I am a big fan of Brit Chick Lit. I've read everything that Sophie Kinsella has written and loved them all (although some of the Madeline Wickham books weren't quite to my liking) still, I was bummed when I finished her latest book (Twenties Girl) and was wondering who I could read until her next book. I stumbled onto Jill Mansell through an Amazon recommendation. I've now read three of her books and have found each one of them to be as funny and endearing as Sophie's books. If you like Sophie Kinsella, you will like Jill Mansell.

    What happened to the end?

This was a nice read, fun story line, well written -- until the end. It ended so abruptly that I wondered if my nook download was faulty and the ending did not get downloaded. The ending, or lack of, pretty much ruined this book for me. I would not recommend it at all. Since I purchased two Mansell books, I am hoping the second one is better.

    just OK

It took two hundred pages to get into the story. OK for a free book.

    Not my thing

If you're really into romance novels you will probably enjoy it. I hadn't read a romance novel for years and decided to give it a shot. Sad to say it was like most romance novels... predictable. But I won't say that I hated it, I just won't read another romance novel for a long time.

    slightly painful

okay, i'm a girly girl. I love a good chick lit book and have read tons of them. I have to say that i've never read this author before and was excited to do so, but its dragging....im not even done with it ( close to being done) but its taken me forever to finish and i can read a book within days if i really like it. This one, not so much. Its too all over the place and not funny enough...maybe its just this one book versus the author?

    Good read-BUT

I guess since Iam not from the UK I had a little trouble with some of the terms used. I found that I couldn't put it down-only to get to the end and then I was disappointed-I would have like to know how Orla book come out-The end just dropped for me.
