The Million Dollar Shot

If you like basketball and like to read books about basketball then the Million Dollar Shot is for you. It is such a wonderful book! It teaches you to never quit and keep trying until you know you have really improved and to be proud of your work. You will have fun reading this book, trust me. So, I say this book is for everybody but especially for kids!
The Million Dollar Shot is about a kid named Eddie who started as a horrible basketball player for his school team. Eddie had a friend named Annie who is really good in basketball and she helped Eddie. One morning, Eddie was reading the newspaper (because Eddie likes to read comics strips), and he saw it. He saw the sweepstakes for Fickle Foods, which would give a million dollar reward to anyone who made a new slogan for Fickle Foods, and then made a foul shot during the N.B.A finals. Annie and Eddie worked on a slogan and sent it in.
The main characters are Eddie a kid who has to make a million dollar shot, and Annie, Eddie¿s friend. Another character is Eddie¿s mom, who is a helpless mother. Mr. Oakley Annie¿s dad works with Eddie¿s mom at Finkle Foods until they got fired by George Finkle. He owned the company, but fired so many people!
Did Eddie make the shot or miss it? Well, the answer is for you to figure that out! But I would recommend this book to my brother because he likes to read books about basketball. I really like this book because it reminds me of me when I was six. I had to beat one of my friend¿s in basketball, so then I learned how to play basketball and guess what? I beat him! I guess I just had it inside of me.

A must read for sports fans of any age.

Ever wonder what it would be like to be living with your mother in a trailer park? Well this is the everyday life of Eddie Ball and his mother. Eddie goes to school and his mother works very hard everyday. One day Eddie finds that his mom¿s boss (Mr. Finkle) is having a million dollar shot contest at a NBA game. In order to get that far he has to write a theme song for the Finkle factory that his mom works for. If he is chosen then and only then can he shoot the shot. Will Eddie win, if he does will he sink the shot to catapult his mother and himself out of poverty forever? Read to find out in one of Dan Gutman¿s thrillers The Million Dollar Shot.
