The book convinced me that chronic stress and anxiety wasn’t just about my having a lot of bad days, it was about my getting cancer! I’m shocked that no doctor I’ve ever seen as a patient has talked to me about the negative effects of stress and anxiety on my physiological health. All they’ve ever done is suggest anti-anxiety medications.
I'm committed to writing my own prescription now to put what Dr. Rankin calls my Whole Health Cairn into balance, and to introducing a mindfulness practice into my life to reduce my stress. I’m also going to share the book with my primary care physician. If she’s anything like Dr. Rankin she was never exposed to this information about the minds ability to hea the body in medical school, even though it is all documented in the medical journals going back 100 years.

A lot of good advice.
Avoid some of conclusions ablout what body signs mean e.g. if your virgina hurts during sex get rid of your partner. That is a little over the top. But most of the book is worth reading. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
