It's by a hockey fan for fans--and non-fans will love it, too
At the core of this book is a true love of the game and a reverence for the good times of an era that would be lost forever if it weren't for Bob Showers' dedication to the book. He has gathered memories and photos that North Stars fans will truly cherish. The whole book is a tribute to the North Stars and the game of hockey, so if you¿re a fan, you¿ll love the book. If you're not a fan and have always wondered what all the fuss is about, this book will spell it out for you. In addition to a wealth of photos and stories, Showers has included a record of every concert ever played at the North Stars¿ venue, the Met Sports Center, and it¿s worth the price of the book to compare ticket sales for Frank Sinatra, The Who, Elvis, The Rolling Stones, Kenny Rogers and dozens of other performers (you¿ll be surprised to find out who sold the most tickets). Nanne¿s stories are fun to read for what they reveal about the sport and the players and managers behind the game. Includes several photos that haven¿t been published before. Published by Beaver¿s Pond Press in Edina, Minnesota.
