I can't type fast enough to explain why people should read this book. I made this account just to comment on Misery. First off, Annie is one crazy psycho chick..and Stehpen makes her seem so...real. I got chills reading about how she tormented Paul because it seemed like Annie was right there with me with a sledgehammer in her hands or something. For those who would rather watch the movie first, it wouldn't affect their decision because they are both epicly rad...excuse my language. Misery is just...I can't eplain it. You'll just have to read it for yourself and decide if you want it or not because you've got the reciept; if you don't like it, take it back and don't waste your time writing a bad review about this faultless book...or Annie will find you.

Would of been a. Better read if King would of complete book in half the pages. 200 pages instead of 400.

A Good Book, But With a Few Speedbumps

In reality, I¿d give this book 3 and a half stars, but I¿m going to whittle it down to just three. Misery is a good book and deals with real-life monsters. You won¿t find vampires or yellow-coated devil beings in this one. What you will find, though, is a crazed fan. A crazed fan with an axe¿ Her name is Annie Wilkes and she steals the show. She¿s perfectly described as a troubled, unstable woman without any love in her life. She¿s by far the most interesting part of the book. The parts that she isn¿t in tend to fall a little flat. Most of the action takes place in one room and things get boring rather quickly. Also, later on in the story, the trapped author (the main character) writes a new book for Annie. This is fine except for the fact that Mr. King actually put parts of that book into this one. You¿ll be going along smoothly with Annie and all and then, suddenly, you¿re thrust into a trashy romance novel. This happens several times. It would¿ve been fine in moderation, but it really does take away from the story at hand. But it¿s still a nice real-world depiction of evil.
