Growing up in deep South Texas and never having the resources to

Growing up in deep South Texas and never having the resources to really "see the world", books took me to places where I could allow my imagination to grow and was far better than any movie could match. Don't get me wrong, I love the "movies" and with today's technology...whew...but, well...books are just better. I can't quite remember when I read this book, freshman or sophomore in high school, regardless, I have never forgotten Anna. Given to me by a friend who has since passed away, I can still remember his simple words as if knowing the future, " I have a book I know you will love." I did. What he never told me was that I would never forget. I'm sure you who read this book will fall in love with Anna and will not forget her. I am 54 now and for reasons I cannot answer, felt the need to find her again. I will buy this book for my niece. I know she, too, will love it and Anna. On second thought, I'm gonna' by two books.

Out of the mouths of babes...

This book shows the true meaning of the statement..'Oout of the mouth of babes'. Anyone who reads this book and is not touched to their core, has no heart at all. I would recommend it to everyone..young and old. Will always be one I treasure. The funny thing is, I picked it up while cleaning up the Biography section at work and I don't usually read Biography. Ironic..
