    Yummo

This book has thirty recipes, divided by chapter: Basic (vanilla, vegan, Marshmallow fluff---with variations for flavoring the fluff.) Simple (cinnamon, toasted coconut, chocolate, peppermint, peanut butter and jelly) Swirls (peanut butter banana swirled, chocolate covered caramel swirl, strawberry and Champagne, apple caramel swirl, merlot and chocolate swirl) Beverage (cafe mocha, milk chocolate covered stout marshmallows with pretzels, earl gray and orange flavored mallows, root beer float flavored, irish cream, starawberry malted milkshake) Fruity (meyer lemon, spiced cranberry, raspberry and rosewater, roasted pineapple, sour cherry and cardamon} Treats (hot chocolate, gingerbread marshmallow ornaments, s'more marshmallows, marshmallow fondue, chocolate marshmallow brownies, the "Elvis" s'more...the end). Why I like this book: 1. The variety 2. The fact that I don't have to make a special "marshmallow" syrup. Two of the other mallow books out there use a special "Sugar syrup" instead of corn syrup. A good and bad thing. Corn syrup is terrible, we all know that, but it makes great mallows. I like to be able to go out and buy the materials at the store, not make a syrup to make the mallows. I have tried to make and use sugar syrup before, but it ends up sticking to just about everything in my cabinet. Then the lid hardens, it's a mess. Sugar syrup marshmallow recipes are also blander than corn syrup. 3. Recipes have metric and US measurements (also the only mallow book that has this). 4. I do not need 200 recipes for marshmallows 5. The photography is absolutely beautiful. There is one photo for each recipe, so it's nice to see what the end product of every mallow looks like. 6. The recipes use a variety of techniques, not just adding flavored oils to mallows. Personally, I find this book the least intimidating for beginner marshmallow-makers and those who want to have fun with it. Great recipes, great pictures, great fun.
