I have put off reviewing this book for several months because I've felt I couldn't write one that does it justice. Here's the most important thing about it, as far as I'm concerned: no matter your family's employment and/or childcare arrangements, you will relate to this book. You will also laugh, and you might cry (from relief that someone out there "gets" what your daily existence feels like). My favorite part of this book is the punctuation-free description of a single morning in the author's life- an ingenious mental soundtrack to what every morning feels like for the vast majority of us- whether we work outside the home or not, whether we work part time or full time, whether we have one child or several, whether our children are cared for at home or in a daycare setting. The fact is, life is crazy today, and we need to talk about it, laugh about it, and learn to advocate for our needs and those of our families if we are going to survive. Thank you, Liz O'Donnell, for this great book! #invisibletasksWas this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
