Really Use It

I'm a writer and note-taker and have tried a number of ways to easily capture my thoughts as well as the other stuff that needs to be written down - phone numbers, good books, the CD mentioned on NPR, etc. The Moleskin is the best solution I've found. It's small so I can always carry it in my purse so it's always with me. I also like the way it feels in my hand, and the ease with which it opens up so the margins are readily available for writing too. I've filled one up -- something that never happened with the other solutions -- and I'm part way through the second.

Excellent notebook

I use this notebook for all sorts of things. It's size and durability lend to carrying everywhere, and it's perfect for jotting down notes, errant thoughts, observations, favorite new quotes, ideas for writing my articles, and much more. The quality is superb. I can't imagine getting along with one anymore.

Great quality & would recommend this pocket size journal.

Great travel journal!

I took this journal on a European vacation and it was a perfect way to write without carrying a huge book around. I also kept all my travel info (hotels, flights, etc.) in the book, so it was very helpful even though it took up such a small amount of space in my bag. It's highly durable and the pocket in the back provides a great place for paper souvenirs like boarding passes and ticket stubs. I would highly recommend this product to travelers or anyone who needs a convenient journal that won't fall apart in your pocket.

Black Moleskine Soft Cover Pocket Size Journal

I love the thing. I use it to maintain my checking account balance instead of the flip up style you get from the bank. It fits in my purse, is easy to store when full and I need to review it for tax purposes, etc. I use about 2 a year and now all my friends are buying them for the same purpose.

Good high-quality product

I used this notebook to capture notes when I went on a trip to Uganda this spring. I had the notebook in my pocket nearly everywhere I went. The size was just right for inclusion in most pockets. I didn't have occasion to use the pouch, but the elastic band proved very handy in keeping the notebook closed. I would recommend this to anyone interested in a high-quality notebook or journal.

Fantastic for journaling!

Each member of our family enjoy recording trips, poetry, and basic journaling in these small books. We prefer the lined or graph pages as opposed to blank, just for usability. Our son recorded memories of our recent trip to Rome and then attached ticket stubs, pictures and other momentos inside the book. It no longer fits in his pocket but it holds incredible memories!!!

Goes great with cargo pants

This pocket journal really makes cargo pants useful. It fits perfectly and in a manner that wouldn't work with jeans. I'm always making notes and recording thoughts. It is handy for preventing boredom when a few spare moments are available but not enough time to get into a book; just pick up the Moleskin notebook and flip through your wonderful ideas or to-do list or write something new. I prefer the book with graph paper ruling - can't tell you why.

A ribbon page marker would be nice; I made my own.
