Devotion book by a great author.
Moments of Truth. Unleashing God’s Word One Day at a Time. John MacArthur. 2012. Thomas Nelson. 383 pages.
“If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Devotions that offer biblical teaching, scripture, and prayer to match the annual happenings of the calendar and give daily truths from a foremost biblical scholar and author.
I am thrilled to have a daily devotion from one of my favorite authors, John MacArthur. This devotion contains a sample of short parts from his many other books. Each day presents a bible verse, book excerpt (each day references the particular book and page), and question. A day is a single page layout that is easy to read. Each month is a theme- January is Beginnings; May is Parenting; July is Freedom, America, Leadership, and War.
I love the title. It is a book for a “deeper appreciation for and understanding of God’s truth, every day.”
I’ve enjoyed Moments of Truth this month; this devotion book will continue to be an inspiration to me as I spend time with God daily.

Hey everyone! I’ve heard of John MacArthur a few times bef
Hey everyone! I’ve heard of John MacArthur a few times before, but this was actually my first read of his. I have to say, it was good. It was all pretty basic stuff, I’m not going to lie, but they were all truths none the less, melted down into day by day devotionals. If you do one per day, the book will last you an entire year. The book is very Biblically sound, and John MacArthur backs pretty much everything he says up against the Bible, which is something I admire. It’s a good read, and I probably will be passing it on to a family member. I enjoyed it, and would probably recommend it most to someone who is just beginning their walk with God- it gives basic truths, what we believe, stuff like that. It also asks questions that all Christians should be asking themselves for introspection. I liked it and I give it four out of five stars.
Just so that there is no confusion, I received this book for free from the publisher through the Thomas Nelson booksneeze blogger program in exchange for a completely honest review. I was not required to give this book a good review and everything that I’ve said is completely my own opinion.

Easy to read
I find it hard to find a good devotional book that I can get into. I normally have great intentions on reading them but about 2 weeks into reading I kind of get into a rut and forget about reading them. When I got the Moments of Truth Devotional by John MacArthur, I thought it would be the same way. It turns out that I actually have stuck to reading the devotions and I am current on the days. It is an easy to read devotion that takes 5 minutes to read and take in. You could spend longer in a study if you wanted to read more of the bible chapters that the verses come out of and research the topic the days devotion is on, but if you are looking for something to give you just a taste of what God has to say then you could read this. I recieved this book for free in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
