Highly recommend for Lesbian mothers!
This is a great book. Our 3 year old son loves reading a book that has a "mommy" and a "mamma" like he does. It is very simple & easy for him to understand and he can "read" it on his own by the pictures. It is not at all preachy nor does it try to be too PC like some gay oriented books out there. There are unfortunatly only about 5 books on the market for a toddler/pre-school aged child about having two mothers. This one simply shows that kids that have 2 moms are the same as any other family. This is definatly in our top 2!

Highly Recommended
This is an excellent book for babies and toddlers! We are a family of two mommies and a daughter. I feel that this book is a very good depiction (for a small child) of life with two mothers. The illustrations are colorful and hold the attention of my ten month old. It is not too wordy and the rhythm and rhyme of the text flows very nicely.

nice model
Newman has written a simple, yet important book for children about a family with two female parents. Our daughter relates to the tasks presented, the activities included and the love the parents give to their child. What a nice example!

Cute, well written story
One of the better books for gay families looking for a book that reflects their lives. The fact the family has two moms is incidental to the story which is about a family spending time together and having fun.
