fans of thid erotic fantasy saga will appreciate this powerful entry
Although a half-breed, Mona Lisa has defied tradition by becoming the first non purebred Monere Queen. She rules the Louisiana Bayou, but combines an iron fist with a velvet glove kindness she learned from her human half. Her peers including her Monere Queen mother believe she is foolish to allow such freedom and expect her to fail, but so far she has not and her supporters especially her sex partners are the most loyal ever. The High Priestess cursed the warrior Dante to suffer an eternity birth and death with each new reincarnation part of a shrinking gene pool. A woman called Mona Lyria shared one of his past lives on the moon, but like all women in all his lifetimes, she was his victim. Today, she is powerful Mona Lisa, who Dante begs of her to end his curse by killing him. Instead Mona Lisa thinks they belong together for with Dante she can fulfill what is every Monere Queen¿s top obsession: a child and perhaps a renewal of the curse. Although the story line ahs turned much darker than the previous Sunny Monere thrillers, fans of the erotic fantasy saga will appreciate this powerful entry. The story line is complicated as the past and present merge with the future at stake. Once again it is the secondary characters that provide strong support to the plot which makes this an endearing tale. Although it would help to read at lest the previous novels (see MONA LISA BLOSSOMING) to best understand the complexities of the Children of the Moon Monere world, MONA LISA CRAVING is another winner.--------- Harriet Klausner

Makes for great foreplay in the bedroom
Never a disappointment, Mona Lisa Craving brings to light a new lover and a new dynamic within the Monere world. Past lives, past lovers, an old curse and what the future may hold for Mona Lisa. I love this series and had to re-read this book so that I was up to speed for Mona Lisa Eclipsing and the second installment of Dante and Mona Lisa's story. I loved the book just as much the second time around as the first! This book also makes for great foreplay in the bedroom, or out of the bedroom...

BEST ONE YET!!!!
I absolutely loved Craving!!! All of the Monere books have been wonderful but I have to say that Craving is my favorite. This is my second time reading it but it was just as exciting as the first time. I am in love with Dante!!!! I hope that his character will return in the books to come.

Stand back Halcyon! There's a new warrior in town!
Mona Lisa returns to her people from her high council meeting with new discoveries of herself and what she is becoming. After finally starting to come to terms with that, she, in true Mona Lisa form, finds more trouble...or, should I say, trouble finds her. This is where Dante is introduced into the story. Apparently, they have a past that she isn't able to remember. But it's a disturbing one that leads to more drama, and love, and pain, and hope.

Mona Lisa Craving is my unexpected shocker of the year. It took me completely by surprise. I picked it up thinking that it was going to be the final straw in this series, where I finally give up on it and move on. WRONG! This one seems to be Sunny's redemption in my eyes. Even though I was already addicted to this series, I was beginning to doubt the reasoning behind my addiction. Until this book. I never thought that I would give 5 stars to one of the books in this series.
I absolutely ADORE Dante! At some parts I hated him, but it only added to the multiple facets of his character. Stand back Halcyon! There's a new warrior in town! And he's amazing!
Also, she added a little more dimension to the story. Yes, it had the Sunny trademark "pearl- sheath- budding flower-and-turgic stalk" sex scenes. But it went beyond just the sex this time. I actually cared what happened, which is a rapid turn-around from the last book.
Mona Lisa Darkening is sitting on my bookshelf. And I'm hoping, beyond all hope, that she can keep this up. I'm excited to read the next one and I can't wait to see what's waiting in Mona Lisa's destiny and when Dante will come back into her life. -
I'm Lovin' It
As usual Sunny doesn't disappoint! Just when you think things can't get any better they do!! If you have read any of the Mona Lisa books, I recommend this and the others. If you like paranormal romance once again I recommend these books!

Great Again!
If you like paranormal romance with a twist of erotica, then read this series!!! My only arguement with this book lies with the amount of love scenes. I wish the author had integrated more details around Dante and Mona Lisa's relationship. The book kind of reminded me of a movie trailor where you only see clips of the best parts. Hopefully the author with take a different angle with the next book.

Mona Lisa Craving
This book, was just. . .GREAT! I was so into it that I didn't put it down for long periods of time until I was done. I could read it over & over again. There was such vivid details put into the writing that I thought I was there with the characters.

Mona Lisa
I recently discovered both this author (Sunny) and this series. I was a devoted fanatic from the reading of the third book. At that time, I did something I never do, I went back and read the two books before the one that I read first. I didn't find it boring at all (even though I now knew the fate of several of the characters). Instead, it felt like I was visiting with long-lost friends. I highly recommend this series -- it is not "romantic / fantasy fluff" -- this is a true novel and will captivate you from the start!

Can't Stop reading about Mona Lisa's adventures
Once you read the first series you won't want to go another day without heading out to the bookstore to buy the rest of the series. It is very sexual in content, but the characters are very interesting and make you want to read more to find out more about the Monere.

I loved this book! I loved the combination of vulnerability and lust in this novel. It shows how the characters are strong and human-like at times. This one definitely left me aching for more........

I believe this is one of her best books...
I believe this is one of her best books yet.It took me a day and a half to read it.lol. Thats just how good this book was.Anyone who don't think this is a good book. Needs to re-read it again. I like how she made sure to tell you precisely about the detail of each new character. In this book here, it shows how much Mona Lisa is learning more and coping with her beginning a Monere Queen. It also tells how she is dealing with the death of her lover. N I L.O.V.E how Mona Lisa made it known to the rest of the world that Mona Lisa is just like any other women when you have unprotected sex you get PREGNANT. I give this book 5 stars. I cant wait until Mona Lisa Darkening comes out. I advice this book to anyone who like romance, adventure, and vampire books. PLEASE READ IT!!!!

A reviewer
Master storyteller, Sunny brilliantly moves forward with her erotic urban fantasy Monère series in Book #3, MONA LISA CRAVING for Berkley Trade/January 2008. Mona Lisa is back at her home, Belle Vista in Louisiana where she rules as the first Mixed Blood Monère Queen. Her loyal subjects are children of the moon, who are nocturnal, living by night and sleeping by day. However, the quarter human Mona Lisa can exist in both worlds. Although still grieving the loss of her first love, Gryphon, Mona Lisa and her people seem to be nicely settling into their new home. Little does she know that the consequences of trying to save not only Gryphon but also rescue another lover, Demon Dead Prince Halcyon, while battling the evil Monère Queen Louisa has caused Mona Lisa to become a living demon, Damanôen, who can grow fangs and craves blood. Prince Halcyon proposes that Mona Lisa become his consort/wife to help protect her from this secret and they plan to announce their alliance at the next Monère High Court meeting. Meanwhile, Mona Lisa is kidnapped by two highly skilled warriors, a father and brother, that take her back to their home in Texas in hopes of convincing her to help save a twin brother, Dante, from going insane by basking/making love to him. Mona Lisa agrees only because their mother is a healer that is desperately needed at Belle Vista. However, when Mona Lisa starts making love to Dante, they both seem to realize that this is not their first encounter with each other and they share a past history. Lyrically gifted author, Sunny has done it again penning an enthralling tale with beloved characters 'human and unhuman' so well drawn she brings them to life. Although primarily a paranormal series, MONA LISA CRAVING will appeal to romance readers on every level and will also leave them craving the next installment of Sunny¿s phenomenal Monère series. ¿ Patricia Rouse, Rouse¿s Readers Groups
