Loved this book
When he meets Erin Foley, Aiden Riordan literally knocks her out. He is doctor just out of the Navy and taking a breather before looking for a permanent position as a OB/GYN. Erin is a high powered attorney who has taken a leave of absence from her career to wind down after raising her brother and sister following the deaths of their parents when she was barely in her teens. Most of the other residents of Virgin River make appearances in the book along with Aidens' nutso ex-wife, Annalee who shows up just as Erin's sister, Marcie is giving birth in Erin's cabin and things get really hectic. One of my favorite parts is when Aiden buys a prom dress for Erin and they go out dancing to make up for Erin having missed her own high school prom years ago. This is one of the best of the Virgin River Series.

Robyn is my hero!!
Robyn Carr continues to enthrall me each time she puts words on paper. I have been waiting all year for these last three books and Moonlight Road was no exception. Her characters are real, they say what you'd say - they are SO very sexy, not unbelievable though. She has a way with romance and love and real life and I have truly learned a few things from some of her thoughts. I own ALL of Ms. Carr's books and hope she keeps on writing them forever. Virgin River is a place to go when you have no place else to be.

Another Winner
I loved the story of Aiden and Erin. Neither thought they were at the point in their lives when love would find them. Their love story turned out to be romantic, sexy and with the arrival of Aiden's evil ex-wife, downright scary at times.
Robyn Carr's Virgin River series is phenomenal. The plots and the characters have you hooked from the first page. Each book stands on it's own but I recommend reading them in order. You will be reading ten excellent books for sure.
In this book I was so happy to catch up on Sean and Franci (great storyline from Angel's Peak) and Marci and Ian (from Virgin River Christmas). They were favorites of mine and it was a treat to get up to date with them.
Seeing Mel and Jack deal with their problem was very absorbing as well.
You will never regret reading any book from this series. You will cry, laugh, shiver and HATE to see the last page coming.2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

A relaxing trip home
I really enjoyed this. It was a bit long (409 pages) but was worth the time it took. It's not one of those books that you 'MUST FINISH NOW' (robot accent inferred) but instead one that makes you wonder how your friends in Virgin River are doing today. I'll also admit that it's one that you forget you're reading. You the kind I mean - you feel like such a part of the story that you pick the book up at a stop light and get lost until the beeping penetrates.
I really enjoyed the characters in this one. Erin, the tax attorney, who really enjoys the law and who forgets how to enjoy life. Aiden the OB Doctor who loves his job and is afraid to get close to anyone after his marriage debacle several years ago. Annalee the perfect gorgeous ex who just can't be as terrible as Aiden says.1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

a pleasant tale
Although never a mom, attorney Erin Foley feels the empty nest syndrome as the younger siblings she raised have moved on. Taking a time out to reassess her life, she plans on a summer vacation in Virgin River.
After fourteen years with the Navy, Dr. Aiden Riordan has left the military. He comes to Virgin River to visit family with plans to stay around until his sister-in-law Shelby gives birth.
When the two visitors meet, sparks fly and not just from heads clashing into inanimate objects. Still she prefers some alone time and he never moved past his horrific former marriage to Annalee. When his ex wife demands reentry into his life and much more, Aiden goes back into his solitary confinement.
The latest return to Virgin River is a pleasant tale filled with humor and poignancy as neither the lawyer nor the doctor are ready for love, but love is ready for them. The support cast as always is solid with everyone except Annalee rooting for Erin and Aiden to find happiness with one another. Although Annalee and her antics are over the top of Mount Tamalpais, fans will enjoy the latest visit to Virgin River.

Loved this book as I have the rest of the series. This made me
Loved this book as I have the rest of the series. This made me laugh out loud one minute and cry the next! This series is just amazing. It makes you want to live in Virgin River (almost a modern day Walnut Grove). Ms. Carr really makes you feel like you know each character personally and leaves the reader with pictures in our minds of what the people and places of Virgin River look like. All of the men are so sweet, kind, caring, gentle and sexy! I would reccommend the series to anyone looking for a temporary escape! I only dread when I finish the series. I have a feeling I will be left wanting much more in the series!

Moonlight serenade
Erin Foley returns to Virgin River for some long overdue R & R....in fact, she hasn't taken a vacation in at least ten years. Erin first appeared in A Virgin River Christmas when she tried to retrieve her sister Marcie from Ian Buchanan's rustic cabin. Now that Ian and Marcie are married and living on their own and brother Drew has finished medical school, Erin can take some time for herself. The problem...she has no idea how to relax. She renovated Ian's cabin to have all the creature comforts but she's bored out of her mind and has three months of this "bliss" to look forward to. Aiden Riordan is separating from the Navy after more than ten years of service and has decided spend some time in Virgin River before he decides his next career move. He's an OB-GYN and hasn't even decided where he wants to live. He's roughing it in the woods, scruffy beard and all, hiking through the town's mountain trails. Aiden surprises Erin during one of his hikes when he suddenly appears at her deck, causing her to fall and have a concussion. He takes her to the hospital where she continues to assume he's a laborer and he does nothing to discourage her misconception. Aiden continues to visit her cabin, handling her gardening. He finds her intriguing...she is oddly attracted to him. It's not long before they begin a romance. What's charming about Erin and Aiden's relationship is that they are both at crossroads in their lives, and not just their careers. Aiden wants what his brother,Luke, has found with Shelby and Erin wants what her sister Marcie has with Ian. They recognize something's missing but didn't see each other as the solution. Aiden doesn't take Erin as seriously as she takes herself and she learns to just breathe because of his influence. Their romance evolves so naturally, with lots of humor and great banter. This story does include some tension as issues related to Aiden's first marriage surface. Other characters from the series make an appearance, which is part of the Virgin River charm. You cannot help liking this couple and pulling for their relationship. There is a scene involving a bear you don't want to miss, too. I loved the story, Aiden and Erin, and the continued spirit of community in Virgin River. This is a worthy installment of the series and I'm off to the next one.
