    Great educational tool!

My kids grew up using Mad Libs to help them improve their reading and writing skills. They loved trying to make them as clever and funny as they could. As a teacher for students with autism and other learning disabilities, I have found that Mad Libs can be an entertaining way to teach language arts. This collection of Mad Libs over the years gives me numerous topics to choose from. If the lesson is about Science there are several Mad Libs that can be pulled from the book to not only learn about our topic of discussion, but, more importantly, learn the basic concepts of nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs. It is one of the few approaches to learning language that my students enjoy and seem to learn from. Having such a variety of Mad Lib stories in this book makes well worth the purchase. I look to add more books like this to my collection.

    Great value for the $$$

My son really enjoy's doing Mad Libs, and this one is a really good value for the dollar. Quite a variety of ML's under the cover. There are some repeats from the smaller volumes - which is the point - so he's deliberately come up w/ different ML's.

    great for the car

The mad libs book was fun for my 8 and 12 year old to do in the car. It is something we could all do together and it took thinking and creativity to come up with nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc. It was good practice for reading aloud for my 8 year old, too. I gave it 4 stars versus 5 as it lacks variety - can get a little repetitive in nature.

    Silly Stories

My family and I use these when we go on long car rides. When we play Mad Libs we have one person to write the words down and everyone else takes turns giving the words. When we are done the one writing them down reads the story. They are always very funny.
