After reading 'One Man's Wilderness, An Alaska Odyssey' I looked forward with anticipation to this expanded version outlining the history of this remarkable individual, Richard L. Proenneke who lived in harmony with the great Alaska wildneress and many of the creatures contained therein. It features the significant details of his life, friends, and struggle with both the natural elements as well as the proposed change in the status of his beloved home. Definitely a book that will call you back several times to refresh not only your perceptions but also your soul as you develop a greater appreciation of nature and how one man can make a difference in so many ways.

If you enjoyed "One Man's Wilderness, you would definitely enjoy this one. More details including he panned for gold! I hope there will be another book made from his diaries. Can't get enough of living in an Alaska log cabin. He had a wonderful life. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
