I grew up a Mormon and this book gives a very accurate description of what growing up Mormon is like. It was well written, entertaining, and is informative for anyone who wants to know more about the Mormon church. Its interesting that all the one star reviews either had no comment, or had comments that gave no indication they had actually read the book. Hmmm... that seems to indicate that the author is onto something. Highly recommended.

Everyone has bias.... its truth that is vital.

Come on people do you think anyone IN Mormonism will be unbiased. .... Sorry if the truth is too close to home. LDS doctrine is a 180 from Biblical Christianity.

    Great book

An honest book which demonstrates how [ any] religion can keep a human being from experiencing life to the fullest. The author has writing talent and presents some background on LDS history along with his experiences.

Writing a decent book requires a commitment of time. Jack Worthy does not deserve the disparaging comments made by those folks who have not even dared to read a chapter of his book.

I am looking forward to hearing more from him in the future.

Wanted to comment on one person's comment who said "It is impossible for a returned, full-time missionary, who knew anything about the LDS church to turn his back on the gospel." There are so many former LDS members who did serve a full two-year mission and are no longer members of the Church. Therefore, your "theory" is false.
