Off the beaten track for this author.

I loved it. I am a big fan of Nora Robers (and J.D.Robb). I especially like her "series" books. I like romance, suspense, and science fantasy/paranormal. This series has it all. I read all three books back to back (in 4 days) then gave it to a good friend to read. ...

Not bad, could be better

This is my 2nd Nora Roberts series. While the story line is not bad, I think she tends to stretch the story to make it a series. The content of this story is similar to another. several couples come together, 1st book focuses on 1 couple, the 2nd another and the 3rd ...
This is my 2nd Nora Roberts series. While the story line is not bad, I think she tends to stretch the story to make it a series. The content of this story is similar to another. several couples come together, 1st book focuses on 1 couple, the 2nd another and the 3rd the other. The first of this series is falling much into place as the 1st series. I think eliminating alot of the little stuff that has nothing to do with what is going on with the story would make it a much better read. If this series turns out similar to the other, I don't believe I will do another Roberts Series.

    Caroline

I normally can't wait to get my hands on another NR book and usually finish them within a day or two. Morrigan's Cross is awful. I should have saved my money. The book went half-read in the trash bin. Yuck. Needless to say, I will not be buying the other two books in the series.

    Absolute Trash...Yuck.

Absolutely HORRIBLE. I found myself wanting to gag half the characters, and their personalities, and even the romance was lacking any real depth. DO NOT waste your money.

Not a Fan of Paranormal Genre

I've read nearly every Nora Roberts book, though I am not a fan of the paranormal genre. Very early in the book I was turned off and found myself skimming it for the highlights. I found the book sorely lacking in character development, something she has always done so well in the past. Regretfully, I purchased all three books in the trilogy simultaneously so that I could dive right into the next book of the trilogy. Guess I will donate them to the library, unread.

    AWFUL, ABSOLUTELY AWFUL

YUCK.....this book went in to the trash half-read. I certainly won't buy the rest of the trilogy. Nora, what were you thinking???

What's the Point of this Story?

The story dragged. The print was so small the story was difficult to read. The writer gave it a good try, but it is not what one expects from Nora Roberts. I saw nothing in the story to recommend it.

    Roberts has lost her touch

It used to be that you didn't need to even look at the book description of a Nora Roberts novel to know you were buying an excellent read but lately -no matter what genre she writes in- Roberts' writing has become boring. The characters seem quite one-dimensional and appear to be a formulatic replay of characters from previous books. I can't even bring myself to finish this story and I won't be purchasing the next 2 in the trilogy. I definitely miss the days when Roberts turned out excellent stories such as the Three Sisters trilogy and suspense novels like Carnal Innocence, Hidden Riches, and The Reef.
