In Mortal Faults, Michael Prescott brings back two familiar and very likable (though not always to each other) heroines. Private Operative, Abby Sinclair, and FBI special agent, Tess McCallum, are thrown into the same case but from different angles. The story, which begins as hunt for a congressman's alleged 'stalker' and expands into something more sinister, is wonderfully paced and takes numerous unexpected turns. Prescott creates a vivid, at times seedy, world that left this reader constantly guessing. As expected, Prescott has delivered another intelligent thriller with memorable characters and a cleverly layered plot. A fun, easy, enjoyable read!

    Great book. Highly recommend!

From the first page I was hooked. Clever, witty Abby Sinclair is my kind of character. Suspenseful plot with an interesting identifiable array of character personalities. From the sadistic, murderous politician to the damaged, paranoid ex-lover I was intrigued to see what each would do next. A recent fan of Michael Prescott after reading Stealing Faces, I look forward to reading much more from this impressive, talented author.

Didn't make it past page 80

This book has a second-rate tone from page one. It is 900 pages and all I could think of is how many hours of my life it would consume that would never get back. I am an avid reader so I definitely don't mind spending hours reading if they give back to me. I blew through the three books of the Hunger Games, now that is writing. Don't waste your time with this one.

very satisfying read...leaves you wanting to follow up with another M. Prescott book

The characters, Tess and Abby, are polar opposites with so much in common they don't recognize themselves in each other. They feed off each other and keep you hooked throughout the book. Michael Prescott has a way with words that entertains and educates at the same time. Reading on my nook makes it so easy to look up new words for my vocabulary. The action is steady and impeling. There's a twist you don't see coming. A very good crime mystery.
