The mostly ghostly series is a very good series. I have read the 1st and 2nd book. The 1st book is called who let the ghost out! It is about a boy named max and he has 2 ghosts living in his bedroom .max is about 9 or 10 years old. There is an evil spirit named phears he is the king of the spirit world. At the end of this book max finds out there is a ghoul friend for one of the ghost. But max hasn't met here yet. I conceder this book because it is for people how like mysterious books. When you get done reading mostly ghostly books you can read Goosebumps it is another mysterious series. Both series are written by R.L.Stine. reviewed

    mostly ghostly

Tiffany Hostos 601 6/6/07 Book Group Review Do you like ghosts? Mostly Ghostly by R.L. Stine is about a boy named Max who always sees ghosts in his room. The ghost name is Phears. The ghost came to look for Nicky and Tara and max won¿t tell him where they are. Phears said that if max doesn¿t tell him where they are that he will kill them when he find them and that he will kill them too. I think this book is good and bad¿ I think it¿s good because it¿s scary and weird. For example, when phears was going to peel max like an orange. I think this book is bad because it was long and it had hard words and sometimes I don¿t understand hard words. I will recommend this book to my brother because he likes mysteries and because he¿s big enough to read scary books like this one.

A must read for RL Stein fans

Elementary school librarian here. Nice short chapters that make you want to start the next one. Also, dark and humorous. I just finished number 3 in series.

    Mostly Ghostly

WHO LET THE GHOSTS OUT? seems that Phears knows all about the kids like the back of his hand. But I picked it up since I'm a fan of R.L. Stine. As I started reading, I excepted everything to be all silly and childish. Boy, was I wrong. This novel is fantastic! It has horror, humor, and even a little romance. I will be looking forward to reading more books in the Mostly Ghostly series, and I recommend that fans of dark comedies do so, too. Was this review helpful to you?
