This book started off a bit awkward for me and I wasnt sure I'd like it. I quickly grew to enjoy the story between Russ and Laurel. It's a really touching story overall, not only between the H/h, but the supporting characters as well. Mouth to Mouth ranks high on the steam scale too. This was my first Erin McCarthy title, but it wont be my last.

This is my first book by Erin McCarthy. I thought it was a cute story with just the right amount of steam and a bit of adventure. Would definitely recommend it to others looking for a good book to pass a weekend afternoon with.

Entertaining
Make no mistake, this is a contemporary erotic romance and I will review it as such. Think Lisa Marie Rice on laughing gas. The love scenes are both graphic and erotic (not necessarily the same thing). While there are many, they occur naturally in progression with the story. I loved the protagonists and supporting characters, too. The heroine was wonderful. I felt her deafness added depth to her character and felt authentic. The hero was over-the-top alpha (which I love). The story was well-paced and the villain well-drawn. A fun, light read I would highly recommend to those who enjoy this genre.

Just for sex. Right.
Laurel is a beautiful deaf woman who can read lips. and upuntil recently has lead a pretty secluded life. She has been chatting on line with Russ and is ready to meet him and have sex after her long long dryspell. Well when she meets Detective Russ in the diner she finds out that she is the target of a criminal named Dean who has been posing as Russ. She instantly feels embarassed over all the things she said to the Dean. After talking to her Russ is satisified that Laurel knows nothing about Dean and is content to leave her along. However, when he leaves her he tells her to stop talking to strangers on the computer and stop trusting people. Well she may be deaf but she is not helpless. Realizing that TOO SSEXY Detective Russ is about to walk away she blurts out that she only wanted sex from Dean and unless Russ is willing to have sex with her she could talk to whomever she wants. and the fun begins.
