If you love Hollywood beware the draw of Holywood

Hollywood isn't my beat so I wasn't drawn to Holywood. The author provides delightful insight into the draw of Hollywood with his parallel, Holywood. I am not drawn to Hollywood stars so there's no reason to believe I'd be drawn to the Holywood stars and I wasn't. I don't mean this as a left-handed compliment. The author created characters that felt like people of Hollywood.

DiscWorld Meets Holywood (or Holy Wood), and the Imps are Flying!

What can I say? Vintage Pratchett, with all the attendant lunacy and mayhem--not to mention the introduction of Gaspode the Wonder-Dog (I always did wonder where he came in, seeing as I haven't read the DiscWorld books in order). Although the satire is not as biting as in some of his other books, it's still a wild, fun ride. Warning: reading this book (or any other Pratchett novel) on an airplane will certainly make the time pass quickly, but it may get you arrested (folks do tend to look askance at people cackling and guffawing in their seats and start wondering what you have planned).

    Finallly the truth!

Very funny satire of the entertainment industry and how it changes the way we think. The talking dog and his wet nose provides commentary that will keep you on the edge of your seat, laughing. This will confirm what many of us have suspected about the entertainment industry (grin).
