My Daughter's Favorite Book
This is currently my daughter's favorite book. She is six months old and likes this book particularly because of all the silly noises that my husband and I make when we read it to her. I enjoy reading this book as well because it has some wonderful Seuss rhymes within it, and since it is a board book I don't have to keep it away from my daughter. She likes to pick it up herself and turn the pages and open and close the book, and because she is teething, she also enjoys chewing on the book occasionally. I think this would be the book I would most recommend for young children/babies because it is so engaging due to the sounds. She tends to get bored during other books like Goodnight Moon or The Hungry Caterpillar, though I'm sure she'll like those too once she has a better grasp on language. :) I would recommend this book over some of the other Seuss books I am familiar with, at least for this young of an age group.

Can't go wrong
Really, you can't go wrong with Dr. Seuss, and this one is no exception! This book is best for babies and very young toddlers just beginning to want to talk. It has the repetition babies love. It comes in a small size too for baby's little hands.

A Classic
Dr. Seuss' stories are so memorable that even a child can recite them. Our granddaughter is two and loved the sing-song rhythm of this book, as well as the characters whose sounds she could identify. By the end of the story, she was making the sounds when the pages opened. The characters are whimsical and fun, and the rhyme of Dr. Seuss is in itself a form of poetry.

A great book for a toddler
I bought this for my 3 year old nephew. He loves animals. This is a wonderful book with a really cute story that he can relate to. He does not read yet, but I found out he already heard this story, and he likes to sit with it and read it to himself. The book is in a small format that he can hold in his hands easily. Every time he gets to a part that says Mr. Brown can moo, he makes the sound himself, and very well indeed, and then goes off into giggles. It gives him a lot of pleasure, and after all, that is what reading is supposed to do.

How Can You Go Wrong With A Dr. Seuss Book?
Bought this one and two others for my great-grandson for Christmas. He loves making the sounds. All of Dr. Seuss books are very entertaining and educational. Learning is always fun with Dr. Seuss books.

My daughter loves to make all the sounds that Mr. Brown can make. She recognizes which sound comes on which page. Worth the buy.

Our Favorite!
I have bought my 15 month old son dozens of books but this is the one he is constantly bringing to me to read with him. As soon as we start reading, he is trying to make the sounds along with me and gets excited when his favorites come up. I recommend this book to anyone with a young child!

Everyone has fun reading this one. My child reads it every time we're in the store, even though we have our own copy at home.

Fun for the young
Delightful book to read with young children over and over again. Rhythmic language and it's fun to get everyone involved in making the sounds. Very predictable for them.

Catchy book that all kids love!
This is a must have for all toddlers and preschoolers. The hardcover version won't hold their attention, but the board book is a sure fire hit. My two girls absolutely adore this book (and the other Dr. Seuss board books).

Put It to Music
I teach kindergarten and my students love this book. We enjoy it when we take sections of the book and put them to music, Oh, the wonderful things Mr. Brown can do! is read and then we sing the animal sounds to Twinkle Twinkle. The last lines, Mr. Brown can do it. How about you? is sung as well. The kids love it and after only one or two readings they are one their own.
