This true crime book is not like most of the genre. The crime it covers is in 1963 and remains unsolved to this day. Blaine Pardoe takes the reader on a journey back in time to Battle Creek Michigan in 1963 and painstakingly recreates the vicious murder of Daisy Zick and the five decades of investigation into her death. You feel like you are stepping into a time capsule when you read this book! Police techniques were so different then and the author does a great job of not just portraying the victim, but the officers that dedicated years of their time looking into her murder. A must read for true crime fans!

    Interesting.

This was well written. Althought it does not give the murderer's idenity, the facts and theories are riviting. I recommend reading this book. Another excellent book based on facts is "The Partisan" by William Jarvis. This book is only 99 cents on the Nook right now. Both books are excellent and deserve A+++++++
