Really terrible editing, so bad, the book was ruined.
I had read another B&B book. It was interesting, but like this one, the editing was terrible. There were not as many mistakes, but enough to be very annoying. In the first book, I read, the owners of the B&B were the hero and heroine of the book. In this one, the couple were barely mentioned, yet the series of books is suppossed to be about them. The police chief, visited their B&B several times, in this book, which was written before the one I read, he goes to the same church and there was feelings of dislike by the police chief toward them. In the one I read, the later book, they just met and there was instant friendship. Last but not least, in this book, Lon the chief's son is fourteen, in the next book he is 8. I do not like mistakes of this magnitude. The book was choppy, the characters under developed. I gave this author a second chance, there will not be a third. No sex, cursing, blood or gore. Whodunit was very easy to figure out. For readers 16 and up. Cost $1.99. 314 pages long. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. This was a good story and an enjoyable read.
This story could be made even better by better proofing. If there is an editor, that person needs to do a little better. The errors slowed the story flow for me. I read a great deal and have noticed that ebooks in general seem to be less carefully edited. All in all though, I did enjoy this book. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
