This is one of my favorite books. These stories represent different times throughout the lives of gay men. From the childhood realization that we are different, through later years when we realize we aren't what we once were...these stories show a warmth of humanity and subtlety for the lives of it's characters. Don't miss out..buy this book. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

This is a fine first book!!
This is a fine book of short stories that made me laugh and cry. While it certainly reflects a gay sensibility, it is universal in its depiction of disappointment, loneliness, yearning and love. As such, it demands a wide audience. Its characters are memorable and reminded me of many people I know- including most surprisingly - me!!!!!! I really hope that Mr. Rowell continues writing. I would love to see what he does with an extended work. Read and enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
