    My Amish Heritage: The Pictorial Journey of Ruth Irene Garrett

    I gave this beautiful photo book of the Amish a 5 star rating,because it touched my heart.The pictures are real,I know because I was Amish in my youth and it so reminded me of my past. I wouldn't go back to that life ,but I don't want to forget it either.As Amish we weren't allowed any pictures, this photo book is as if I now have a family photo album of my own.Looking at the way Ruth Irene has transformed from the Amish way to the modern life was simply amazing.This book is real, each picture tells a story of it's own.I'm telling all my friends, if they want to see the real Amish lifestyle buy this book,it's great.If you own Ruth Irene Garrett's first book 'Crossing Over, One Woman escape from Amish Life'.You must get this book, its a perfect match.

    My Amish Heritage: The Pictorial Journey of Ruth Irene Garrett

    I loved this wonderful photo journal of Ruth Irene Garrett and it goes great with her first book 'Crossing Over'.I'm former Amish myself,and I find these pictures of the Amish way of life to be the most beautiful I've seen in a long time.I really enjoyed all the pictures of Ruth and her family and how it shows what everyday life is really like in an Amish family.
