    Strongly recommend for gift giving.

My daddy-to-be would get bored reading some of MY books about pregnancy, so I ordered him this to see if he would read it. He read it all in one night. The only annoying part is if I try to get out of something because I'm pregnant as an excuse, he will now quote the book. However, it does say in the book that the male should just go with what the pregnant women says sometimes, which makes up for everything.

Enjoyable read, will having you laughing.

I laughed out loud at least 5 times while reading this book. If you're like me & looking for a book to lighten the mood, make sure to read this book cover to cover. Ian does a great job describing events and dialogues with the most colorful language. He shares the stages/aspects of pregnancy through his own story from his & his wife's perspective - but in a way to keep Men entertained and focused. Trust me you'll learn several things, while you laugh your way along the book. The comics/illustrations kept me going. ;) Finished the book in a matter of hours. I couldn't put it down.

    My personal favorites:
    *Comic on Page 22.
*Excerpt (favorite): "Don't expect more than two hours of sleep at one time. Do expect huge bags under your eyes. They signal your entrance into the world's most exclusive club: fatherhood." Page 82.

    Is this a Joke?

Nothing says your not a mature enough person to have a child like making a pregnancy into a dick and fart joke. By trivializing the monumental Ian Davis has written a novelty item at best.

The Perfect Pregnancy Book for the Man

There IS a book out there for a man about pregnancy. My husband received this book as a gift when I got pregnant, and it's hysterical - but still informative. We sat and laughed about the contents, all the while he was learning some very important pregnancy details.

    Not bad

There seem to be a slew of these kinds of books on the market these days. This is not one of the best, really. It's not bad, but it's not great either. If you're looking for a 'guy's guide to pregnancy' book that hits the nail on the head, you could either check out Babyhood by Paul Riser or Dada by Michael Crider. Those two books are much funnier and better than this book.

    Funny in a few places

Some of the humor is dead-on and makes you laugh, other parts are sort of lowbrow and condescending to women. For a book that's even funnier and maybe a little more clever, try Keeping the Baby Alive till Your Wife Gets Home by Walter Roark. My wife and I both thought it was great. (But it doesn't have any chapters on pregnancy, it starts at home from the hospital.)

    A little slim

Liked it. Funny. But a little slim. I like Breathe! A Guy's Guide to Pregnancy for pure laughs. And for pure facts, I liked just reading my wife's books, like What to Expect. Nonetheless this one has merit.

    About Time!

Finally, there's a book that can see pregnancy from an expecting Father's point of view. Hilarious insights throughout - in some cases proving the point we really are clueless sometimes. Highly, Highly recommended.
