As an educator this book makes a wonderful addition to my English Language Learner collection. ELL's have difficulty learning English Idioms and this book has made it a breeze. Now when someone says that it's raining cats and dogs they're not looking for actual cats and dogs.
My teaching heart sings when I see the definitions and higher level thinking questions on every page after the story line.
As a parent I loved watching my daughter's face light up when we read the introductory line, "You're the apple of my eye," and she said, "Mom you always say that to me, and now I know what it means!!" It's great, fantastic, Marvelous!!!!
