Perfect timing for my grandchild to receive this book on the day she got her 1st of 3 permanent casts on her little arm. It opens the lines of discussions for a parent and a child. The pictures help explain the process she had to go through.
My 2 1/2 year old grandchild living in New York just broke her arm while playing on her youth bed. It was scary and intimidating with the process and the time involved in an emergency room visit for a small child. This book was very helpful going through the process for a small child's understanding. Because a 2 1/2 yearr old child can not read, the parent helps in the way they read the text. The corresponding pictures are great for the child to look at as the story is read to them. The timing of her receiving the book the day of gettng her first of 3 permanent casts was perfect! She enjoyed the Little Critter Series and it made it fun. Children that age are not used to x-rays and casts. So the book gave the whole experience some sense of what she went through. Rereading the story reiterates the moral so that it becomes less scary for the next doctor's visit. It's a good book to share with a friend when the unfortunate situation happens to their child. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Great for kids
My 7 year old son enjoyed reading this book and found it lowered his anxiety about his trip to the hospital. It's a great read for any child who may be facing sometime in the hospital. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
