Compelling information from people who have unique perspectives and know how to communicate. Worthy of your time to gain vast insight. Highly recommend.
The book is divided into short papers from very learned people on this rather flexible subject. Each conveys major points from their professional backgrounds and does so in clear and concise writing. Whenever you complete a section, the next one appears with an interesting theme. I read this over many nights before going to sleep and it was a very enjoyable read. These authors indicate that anything is possible.

tough reading for a person not totally hip on all the terms
I found it labor intensive for a lot of the referances they made I was not failure with. I made it through the book but it took forever. The positive I got out of it-it's up to you what you make 2012 so you might as well plan to be positive because being negative isn't going to get you anyplace but down.

The Mystery of 2012:Predictions,Prophecies &Possibilities
This book presented a wide range of no nonsense information on the mysterious date of 2012. Although this date is associated with catastrophe in some minds, this book concentrates on the positive aspects associated with 2012. Many chapters deal with very complicated earth, moon, star and galactic cycles and how they will align to affect the earth in 2012. Most of it will be good, because we will be entering into a new spiritual age. The time until 2012 is so short, that it is difficult to see how this will happen. For the true believers, this will not be a problem because human consciousness is ready to take a giant leap forward. In fact, they see signs all around them. For the reader who wants good, solid information on 2012, this is the book, despite the sometimes misplaced optimism.

Everyone must read this book
It is a revelation. I almost very appreciate it. I also recommend: Secrets of the lost mode of prayer by Gregg Braden.

The Go-To Book for All Things 2012
THE MYSTERY OF 2012 enlightens us with essays written by 26 leading luminaries in the field. While some books feature just one model, framework, or theory, this one invites the reader to explore a vast panoply of varied perspectives. Curious about ancient Mayan prophecies? Interested in alchemy? Wondering about the Bible Code? All this and more is described in fascinating detail in THE MYSTERY OF 2012, along with a rich variety of information on sacred timekeeping, prophecy, and visions of what we may find on the other side of 2012.

We are approaching the end of a 26,000 year precessional cycle in which the Earth has been revolving around the center of the Milky Way galaxy, and the wonder of this extraordinary event in human history is that we are alive during this magnificent "New Year's Eve" on such a scale that affords us a glimpse of the great scale of this beautiful world in this amazing universe.
I am particularly inspired by Meg Blackburn Losey's essay on awakening to the greater reality, as she describes how we are already witnessing signs and evidence of the evolution of human consciousness. Some of these signs include deja vu and something she calls "reality glitches," which others refer to as reality shifts. Such shifts include increased evidence of differences between what we remember happening and what actual evidence shows has occurred: "We enter into another room to do something and find that it is already done, yet we have no memory of doing it." Losey explains that people are peeking into other realities, and some are experiencing dramatic changes in their entire reality, seemingly overnight.
I recommend THE MYSTERY OF 2012 to everyone intrigued by this Shift of the Ages... this Great Awakening... who feels as James O'Dea puts it they were born for such a time as this. -

Let Down
This book had a lot of promise when a friend suggested it and gave me the a short description of what it was all about. I made it half way through the book and moved onto another book. The flow of the book is way too jumpy for my taste - which is a personal preference that might not annoy the next reader. It seems there was no editor present for the production of this book.

Informative and alarming
Well aware of the Mayan calendar but events that have occurred and predictions that had been formatted at earlier times makes one wonder about the real likelihood of end times around the corner. Book is well written and easy to read. Swatstocker
