I'm very pleased with this case. It's made of a heavy protective material that is easy to grip. It's a little stiff but can be folded back for reading which I assume with get less stiff s it ages. The rotating stand is very handy as well with a good angle for both viewing movies or reading a book while eating lunch for example. The bracket that the Nook HD+ clips into wraps around the sides of the device on most sides. The top where the volume buttons and microphone are is exposed but the long side is fully covered except for the power button and the bottom edge is fully covered except for the power / accessory dongle connector. The microSD slot is covered though such that the device would need to be removed from the case to change cards but to me that's a minor thing. My main complaint would be to have some sort of clip to hold it shut so that if you drop it or stuff it in a bag it won't accidentally open but that's relatively minor. An internal pocket may also be nice but, again, that's a minor point. I can't stress enough how nice this case feels to me. It's well built and solid. I feel confident that it will provide the protection I demand for my Nook.

I like this cover. It is sturdy but lightweight and works great. I do wish that it had a clip or band on it to hold it closed, but my wife made me a black elastic band for it, which works great.  I find myself pulling it out of the case to read in bed at night; it's easy to snap it out and back in again. Good product, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings if it cost about $15 less.

This case is wonderful and it is nice that you can make a stand in horizontal or vertical position. The downfall that I have found is that I must of gotten a hold of a defective one. There was a minor crack at the bottom where it snaps in. You didn't notice it unless it was under stress. Another huge crack was found on the top right of the case and it was a problem for me to not notice it before. After paying $45 and having it less than 3 weeks I would've expected better quality. I exchanged it at Target tonight. Hopefully this one won't have the same problem. I do love how it doesn't restrict the sound like so many off brand cases do.

As far as Nook HD+ cases go, this is probably the best so far, and I am a case addict. I look for cases that will protect my Nook, allow me to read both in landscape and portrait positions, and provide ease of use. This case does all three. I only wish the case came with a clip of come sore to keep it closed. I also wish there were some sort of a pocket in which to keep things. Other than that, the case is near perfect. I have spent alomst as much money on cases as I have spent on my Nooks.

Very good sturdy cover. Someone already mentioned no SD access and I add that the HD TV attachment is blocked by the case frame and as you may know the case is not easy to pry off once installed. It can be removed, but not quickly. Also, even though it is possible to not block speaker while in landscape position, closing the cover without prior rotation leaves the nook cover in a left handed opening instead of a usual right hand side. Of course one can turn it to open normally by simply rotating the whole thing , but this leaves the Nook symbol on the top. R&D need to reorient cover plus allow SD access.

I do like this case very much. I'm not troubled by the inability to charge it in the portrait position as I don't charge my nook and use it at the same time. The one issue I've had is standing it in the portrait position. It seems as if the little feet need to be just a tiny bit longer. They do fasten in the slots, but I find that they easily pop out again, especially if you pick up the case with one hand. With that being my only concern, I would give it 4.5 stars, but that isn't possible.
