What some teens put up with

¿Nailed¿ by Patrick Jones is another one of his Teen Drama works. It displays a 16 year old boy named Bret Hendricks. Living in Flint Michigan, where jobs are scarce, he works two jobs to keep himself out of trouble, and out of his parents hair. Also he plays a major part in his band with his two friends Alex and Sean. Even though his jobs and band are important, he plays a major part in the school theater. Bret gives us a view into his everyday life, from being harassed at school by Bob Hitchings, a much hated jock. To the love of his life Kylee, who is the free spirited part of Bret, who also loves theater, and always being in the spotlight. Bret shows he can get back up after something bad happens to him. This book has got it all, and can even maybe relate to you. I really REALLY enjoyed this book. Bret could be a motivational person to me, because of how he deals with everything that happens to him. I think he is a very strong character just trying to find his place in life, and society. I would recommend this book to teens that like books that are fast paced, and get you hooked by the first chapter. Also to adults that don¿t understand what some teens go though.

    An 'outstanding' book. For real.

This was a very good book. I liked every thing about it. I liked Bret and thought he was a great character. I liked how he always got up after something bad happened. The only people i didn't like was the girl and the dad but that was part of what made some of the story good. I also liked how fast paced the book was. I finished reading it in a day and night. Everyone should read it. It's like Endgame by Nance Garden but without the sad ending. Nailed made me tear up a lil on some parts and to me, if a book can do that, it's a good book.
