    Good Christian book, 260 pages

This is a 260 page Christian, mystery book. The plot is rather convoluted, a bit unbelievable and at times choppy. It is well edited, has strong main characters and lots of other characters. It might help the reader to make a list of whos who, to keep everyone straight. For example, the female heroine has six siblings, all playing minor roles in the story. There are also several bad guys, both past and present, people in crisis, people she works with, friends and the good guys, as well as a few surprize guests. The preaching, Bibical references and prayers really increase at chapter 13. Which I did not mind, but some people will. There is some violence, but nothing graphic. There is no sex, or cursing, Kate's childhood is often refered to as horrible, yet no details are given. Why keep mentioning her childhood, if it isn't important, then leave the reader hanging? The ending is typical, no surprizes there. A light, Christian mystery, good for a beach read or rainy afternoon. Easy to put down and pick back up. Ages 16 and up. Chick lit.

Starting the O'Malley series, this book is pretty good. The book isn't gripping though it gets boring at times.

Fascinating and fast-paced. I'd read it over and over if I could get past the preaching. I would have rated this book 5 stars if the religion hadn't been shoved down the reader's throat. There's no faith in action in this series; it's all about faith in word and evangelization.

Good story but the religious language was too much

Read this book only if you believe in a god. Otherwise the language can piss some non religious people off. Basically one character tries to CONVERT other.
