Answered my questions - mostly
Networking for dummies is written in the same informational yet entertaining style common to all the "Dummy" books. It answered many of my questions about how networks work giving me an understanding of the concept of networks, TCP/IP, DHCS, routers, switches and many of the jargon that we see so much of but often do not understand.

The only deficiency that I found in the book was that it didn't explain how to add a printer to a network using an ethernet card. In that case the printer actually has its own IP address and is added like a local rather than network printer. This is not intuitive and should have been explained in the text. -
