    more from this reviewer

4.5 Stars Wonderful read from a wonderful series !

I read and enjoyed all of the previous Leigh Koslow mysteries. They are
fun and entertaining and the mysteries don't suffer a bit from the lightheartedness.
Koslow has a weird habit of happening upon dead bodies. Lucky for her she know some
good folks in good places to keep her out of trouble. Most of the time, at least.

It has been a while since the last Koslow mystery, and I wasn't sure how it would
all come together. I did find my answer! It all came together beautifully! Koslow is
married now and has a set of twins that absolutely add to the story! There is a husband
and also, of course a Corgi who fits right into this madcap extended family. By extended,
I mean... well, I think I will let you find out.

This is an excellent stand alone read. But why would you want to deprive yourself of all
of the equally fun and entertaining books that lead up to this one? Don't do it! Start at
the beginning of the series, and for a little added spice, read the other novels by this author.
I suspect that you will consider it time well spent. All of these books are fun and appropriate
for all ages, I promise. And one last thing, the Koslow books take place in the Pittsburgh Pa area
which might make it even more fun if you live in the area.

Oh, and one more thing.. Edie Claire, the author, is an animal lover, and this shows in her books.
The cats and dogs have as much personality as do the other characters. No silly discussions among
themselves you understand, they just behave as they are meant to, and add much to the stories.

    highly recommended.

    Glad "Never" series is back

Glad "Never" series has a new installment. 10 years have passed, and the characters have changed, like we all do. Nicely done, very enjoyable.

A very enjoyable series. Each book is a stand alone mystery but you get a real feel for the characters if you are able to read the series starting with book 1. Written with a touch of humor. If you like the Kinsey Milhone mysteries, you will also enjoy the Leigh Koslow mysteries. The only criticism I have is that all the books in the series so far, 1 through 6, do have a few editing errors such as missing words; repeated words in the same sentence, etc. Without the editing issues, this would be a 5-star series.

    Definitely worth my time

Own a Corgi...so I was totally sucked in by the title!
I haven't read the earlier ones, but was able to meet the characters. They are charming and lovely and funny. And our Corgi is also as smart as a clothes hanger...

It was good enough that I'll go back and look for the earlier books to start at the beginning (which is how I prefer to read my books - to meet the characters at the beginning and be with them as they evolve).

If You Like Corgis, You Might Like This One!

Leigh Koslow is the main character here. Besides Chewy the Corgi, she has a husband and girl and boy twins who help with the detecting. A man they know has been found dead in a wooded area where people walk dogs. THe daughter finds a very old human bone, too. No one is too upset about the victim, but they pitch in to help Maura, the police detective. If the victim had lived, he had plans to develop the area where they want to have a dog park. I would not read other books by this author, but a book club might like it as it is fairly short.
